After taking the Oath in their College, which is a known practice among military college students during their graduation, they headed to the city of martyrdom and redemption; the holy city of Karbala at the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his Army's Commander Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) to promise them to defend the land and sanctity of this dear homeland and protect it with all they have.
In a wonderful initiative that reflects that mixed patriotism with faith of its real leaders, a group of new officers graduated from the Iraqi military colleges had the honour to pledge loyalty collectively in front of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother the holder of his banner Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), promising them the sincere service of Iraq and Iraqis without any kind of discrimination, as well as their participation to serve Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
Lieutenant Engineer Qasem Abd Al-Karim Al-Alawi one of those officers stated to the Al-Kafeel Network: "Thanks to God, we were honoured today by the Zyarat of the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and taking the oath in the presence of this great historic leader who gave lessons of brotherhood, courage and leadership, and was the ideal military commander. We came here to promise our master Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) to be the loyal soldiers in the service of the homeland, having as a goal the protection of this country, its people and sanctities."
The Lieutenant Engineer in Air Army; Bassem Abd Al-Khaliq Attiyah added: "This greeting and oath are a sacred and sincere covenant for the service of the homeland in the best of ways, keeping the safety of Iraq from the threat of terrorists and criminals, especially that we perform it in front of the great leader Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), noting that our choice to study in the military college came from our hearts, especially after the repercussions of the fall of Mosul, we finished our university studies and responded to the call and went to battlefields for the Jihad, and then we entered into the Military College to become loyal soldiers in the service of the homeland and for the protection of the safety and security of Iraq from the threat of terrorists and criminals."
