Under the auspices of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the activities of the Sixth International Scientific Conference on Sacred Defense Fatwas have commenced.
The Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association is organizing the conference as part of the activities of the Ninth Cultural Fatwa of Sacred Defense Festival, under the slogan "Religious Authority: The Fortress of the Islamic Nation," titled "Fatwas of Sacred Defense Between the Past and Present: The Two Authorities, His Eminence Sayed al-Sistani and His Eminence Sheikh Ja'far Kashif al-Ghita - Similar Goals and Different Methods," in collaboration with Al-Kafeel University, Al-Ameed University, and the College of Jurisprudence at the University of Kufa.
The events were attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Engineer Abbas Moussa Ahmed, and a member of its Board of Directors, Dr. Abbas Al-Dadah Al-Moussawi, along with several officials, as well as official, religious, and academic figures.
The conference activities began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Ammar Al-Hilli, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha in honor of the souls of Iraq's martyrs, and then listening to the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine (Melody of Pride).
The conference activities included a speech by the scientific and preparatory committees, delivered by Dr. Ali al-Muslawi, a member of the administrative board of the Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association. He mentioned that "the blessed fatwa represented a profound shift in the course of the state and society, as it redefined the concepts of jihad, solidarity, nationalism, identity, and linked doctrine with action, authority with the people, and leadership with reality."
The conference activities will witness the discussion of five research papers: "The Fatwa of Sacred Defense and the Interaction of the Najaf Ashraf Hawza with Contemporary Crises - Presentation of Results and Impacts" by researcher Sheikh Jassim Hamza al-Karkushi, "The Fatwa of Sacred Defense...
