The pathology specialist and faculty member at the University of Michigan, Dr. Basim Mohammed al-Khafaji, discussed ways to enhance cooperation with the College of Medicine at Al-Kafeel University.
The Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Kafeel University, Dr. Samer Al-Hakak, said, "We discussed a number of important points to activate the memorandum of understanding and transform it into joint practical programs between the two universities, especially in the fields of medical education and academic and research exchange."
For his part, Al-Khafaji mentioned that the visit aims to follow up and activate the previous memorandums of understanding between Al-Kafeel University and its affiliated College of Medicine on one hand, and the University of Michigan on the other, which contributes to the development of medical education and the enhancement of academic and research exchange between the two sides.
He added that Al-Kafeel University stands out with high capabilities in terms of infrastructure, classrooms, and available modern technologies, describing it as "the best among the medical universities he visited in Iraq."
Al-Khafaji explained that "the achievements made by the college are due to the support provided by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, represented by the provision of the latest equipment, which contributed to enhancing its competitive capabilities and its superiority over many other colleges in different universities."
For years, Al-Kafeel University has been keen on opening up to global academic institutions and signing cooperation agreements that aim to elevate the academic level of students and faculty members, making the university a leading educational environment at both the local and international levels.
