The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine establishes a system for water's desalination and cooling in the shrine of "Rad Shams [sun's return]" to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Hillah

The city of Al-Hillah includes many shrines a religious sites among of which the shrine of "Rad Shams [sun's return]" to Imam Ali Ibn abi Talib (peace be upon both of them), which is the place where the sun returned to honour the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) when coming back from the battle of Nahrawan. This shrine like other shrines and everything that is related to Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) suffered from the deliberate neglect of the former dictatorship regime in Iraq before 2003, and in order to contribute to the development of its service level and what is provided to its visitors, the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine established an integrated system for water's desalination and cooling because it is suffering from a significant shortfall in this area.
The official of the technical unit at the water's division of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine -the authority supervising the design and the implementation of the project- ; Engineer Mustafa Saad Abd has explained to the Al-Kafeel Network: "The shrine of "Rad Shams [sun's return]" to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) has a high position in the hearts of its visitors who come to visit it from inside and outside the province of Babylon, and as it lacks of water's filter and cooling system, the General-Secretary of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine instructed us to establish a system for the water's filtering, sterilizing and cooling to meet the needs of this holy site in the cold filtered water according to the international standards."
Adding: "The project consists of two desalination stations (R.O station), the capacity of each of them 400 liters / hours with a cooling system for the produced water (chiller) with a capacity of 10 tons with two water reservoirs, the capacity of each of them 1000 liters, all placed inside a small room of (7 x 5 m), built of reinforced concrete of 20 cm thickness coated of two layers of epoxy material... Also fountains of drinking waters were built inside the shrine each of them with five water exit linked to the main cold water tank (R.O) produced by the two stations and chilled by the cooling system (chiller)."
