The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds a meeting to review the final preparations for the third International Imamate Week

The General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a meeting to review the final preparations and distribute the tasks of the Third International Scientific Imamate Week to the scientific, preparatory, and technical committees.

The third edition of the Imamate Week is organized under the slogan: "Prophethood and Imamate are Two Sides of the Same Coin," and titled: "The Imams' Advice is Guidance and Piety." It will commence on the 17th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to 14/06/2025, with the participation of countries: Iran, Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Kenya, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Morocco, Syria, Norway, and Kuwait.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed Mustafa Murtada Aal Dia-Uddin, with the presence of his deputy, Engineer Abbas Moussa Ahmed, a member of its Board of Directors, Dr. Abbas al-Dadah al-Mousawi, and the Director of the Senior Official's Office, Mr. Jawad al-Hasnawi, along with the officials and members of the main and subcommittees for the Week of Imamate.

Dr. Abbas Al-Dadah Al-Mousawi said, "The meetings of the subcommittees and the main preparatory and scientific committees continue with each other in preparation for the week's activities," confirming that "the meeting with the Board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was to address the necessary requirements to ensure the success of the week's conferences that discussed the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), based on the foundation of prophethood."

He added that "the activities and events of the second week were reviewed and evaluated to benefit from previous experiences and enrich the third edition."

For his part, the head of the Department of Islamic and Human Sciences at the Holy Shrine, Sheikh Ammar Al-Hilali, said that "the meeting discussed the preparations for the Week of Imamate and reviewed the final preparations for holding twelve conferences on the number of Imams (peace be upon them). These conferences will include discussion sessions that represent an advanced step towards scientific research projects that can be activated and benefited from."

He added, "The meeting's agenda focused on dividing tasks among the committees according to their specialties, as a group of committees with various specializations will start preparing their programs based on well-studied scientific plans, all of which serve the third International Imamate Week."

The Imamate Week includes the holding of twelve conferences, which are: the Imam Ali (peace be upon him) Conference, the two Imam al-Hasan and Imam al-Husayn (peace be upon them) Conferences, the Imam Zain al-Abideen (peace be upon him) Conference, the two Imam Mohammad al-Baqer and Imam Mohammad al-Sadeq (peace be upon them) Conferences, the Imam Musa al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) Conference, the Imam Ali al-Redha (peace be upon him) Conference, the Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him) Conference, the two Imam Ali al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari (peace be upon them) Conferences, and the Imam al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his reappearance) Conference.

The conference includes scientific sessions, intellectual and cultural segments, and panel discussions. The conferences discuss dozens of research papers that highlight the thoughts of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Each conference addresses four main themes: doctrinal studies, jurisprudential studies, ethical and educational studies, and political and social studies.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine seeks, through the Week of Imamate, to establish the sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), to explain their conduct in addressing the crises of the contemporary world, and to highlight their (peace be upon them) impact in confronting intellectual doubts and deviant ideas.
