The readers of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine achieved advanced ranks in the fourth edition of the Karbala International Award for Quran Recitation, Memorisation, and Interpretation.
The Quranic competition was organised by the Quran House at the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) with the participation of several reciters from various Arab and Islamic countries, in addition to Iraq.
Reader Ammar Al-Hilli, affiliated with the Scientific Complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, achieved second place in the recitation competitions, which saw participation from a select group of international readers. Meanwhile, the reader from the holy shrine, Ahmad Jamal Al-Rakabi, secured third place in the same competition.
The Afghan reciter Muhammad Hassan Zada secured the first place, leading the recitation segment of the competition, which aims to promote Quranic culture among community circles and honour distinguished talents in the fields of recitation, memorisation, and interpretation.
This participation is considered an addition to the record of Quranic achievements of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, which pays special attention to the training of readers and memorisers through its specialised educational and professional programs.
