The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine holds a Hussaini mourning council coinciding with the arrival of the month of Muharram

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a Hussaini mourning council coinciding with the arrival of the month of Muharram al-Haram for the year 1447 AH.

The council was held during the ceremony of replacing the flag of the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), organised by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. It was attended by the Senior Official of the holy shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, along with religious and Hawza figures and a large number of visitors.

Sheikh Abdul-Sahib Al-Taie delivered a lecture in the council, where he discussed the biography of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), his journey with his family to Karbala, and the impact of that journey in supporting justice and establishing the truth, in addition to aspects of patience and sacrifice.

The council concluded with a recitation of a poem by the poet Muhammad Al-Fatimi, which recalled the events of Ashura in Karbala and the calamities that befell the Prophet's family (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) on that day.
