The Hussaini mourning processions continue their mourning program for the month of Muharram, 1447 AH

The Hussaini mourning processions continue to hold their mourning program for the second night of the month of Muharram al-Haram 1447 AH.

The Zinjeel processions flocked to the shrines of Imam Aba Abdillah al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him) and his family and companions (peace be upon them), in an annual tradition that the processions have adhered to with the arrival of the month of Muharram.

These processions continue their mourning marches throughout the month, according to an organisational plan prepared by the Department of Rituals, Processions, and Hussainiyah Bodies.

The processions move through designated streets leading to the Qibla Gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), passing through its holy courtyard, heading through the area between the two holy shrines, and concluding their journey at the shrine of the Master of Martyrs, Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The Rituals Department allocates special teams from its staff to accompany each procession from the moment it starts, organising the march, preventing gatherings or congestion, and ensuring no intersections occur between the processions and the visitors, according to pre-defined routes.
