The staff of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine conducted a campaign to remove the sand from in front of the gates of the holy courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), after the completion of the Ziyarat Ashura and the commemoration of the burial of the holy bodies.
The Deputy Head of the Security Department, Mr. Redha Naji Sahi, said: "The department, in cooperation with the other relevant departments, conducted an extensive campaign to clean the doors of the holy shrine and completely remove the sand from them, following the Ziyarat Ashura and the commemoration of the burial of the holy bodies."
He added that "the sand removal work included all the doors leading to the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which are 9 doors."
The staff of the holy shrine had spread sand at the entrances to prevent visitors from falling during the observance of the blessed pilgrimage, especially during the mourning of the Twayreej run.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine mobilized all its staff efforts to clean the areas near the holy shrine and its surroundings, to present the place in its most beautiful form.
