Al-Kafeel Scouts Association organizes the annual Ashura procession with the participation of more than a thousand students

The Al-Kafeel Scouts Association, affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, organized the ninth annual Ashura procession, with the participation of more than a thousand students.

The head of the Activities and Camps Division in the association, Dr. Zaman Al-Kanani, said that "the ninth central Ashura procession witnessed the participation of more than a thousand scout members from various schools and neighborhoods of the holy city of Karbala. It aims to strengthen the youth's connection to the path of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and to shield them from deviant ideas."

He added that "the procession started from the shrine of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), heading towards the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and then proceeded to the shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing through the area between the two holy shrines," noting that "the conclusion of the procession was marked by holding a mourning assembly inside the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, attended by reciters from the association's chanting group."

Al-Kanani continued, "This procession carries awareness and deep insight, as evidenced by the Hussaini slogans chanted by the students and the raising of martyr photos as a part of loyalty and gratitude for their great sacrifices."
