The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is conducting a rehabilitation campaign for the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) complex in preparation for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has carried out a rehabilitation and development campaign in the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) complex to serve the visitors on the Karbala-Najaf route, in preparation for the Arba'een pilgrimage.
The head of the Engineering Projects Department, Engineer Diya Al-Sa'egh, said that the rehabilitation and development campaign comes as part of the holy shrine's preparations to receive the Arba'een pilgrims. He added that the rehabilitation works included cladding the complex's facades, establishing a central kitchen with an area of more than 2000 square meters, and enhancing its energy system by adding four generators, each with a capacity of 1.5 megawatts.
As-Sa'egh explained that the holy shrine is working on providing the complex with a solar energy system to enhance its energy sources, in addition to increasing the water storage capacity by adding tanks with a storage capacity of 900 cubic meters.
The area of the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) complex for serving visitors is 40,000 square meters, and it is considered one of the important service sites affiliated with the holy shrine.
