Through a mourning council.. The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine commemorates the last days of the month of Muharram

The General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continues to hold its mourning councils in the reception hall to commemorate the last days of the month of Muharram for the year 1447 AH.

The council was attended by a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Shrine, Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, along with several of its officials and servants, and a gathering of mourning visitors.

The council began with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a lecture by Sheikh Karrar Al-Saadi, in which he explained the impact of the Battle of Karbala in supporting the truth and reviving the principles of justice, the lessons it embodied in patience, sacrifice, and martyrdom, as well as highlighting the injustice that befell the family of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) after the tragic event of Karbala.

The council concluded with the recitation of elegies and Hussaini poems that expressed the painful memory, amidst an atmosphere of sorrow that enveloped the attendees.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on holding mourning councils with the aim of reviving the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), spreading their knowledge and virtues, and emphasizing the importance of following their noble path and blessed way.
