The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine begins installing artificial intelligence cameras to count the visitors of Arbaeen

The Communications and Information Security Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has begun installing artificial intelligence cameras to count the visitors of the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The head of the department, Engineer Firas Abbas Hamza, said: "The department's staff have begun installing cameras to count the Arbaeen pilgrims at five routes leading to the holy city of Karbala, which the visitors take."

He added that "the installation of the cameras is being coordinated with the relevant authorities in the local government," noting that "the cameras are characterized by their modernity and advancement, and they operate using artificial intelligence, enabling them to analyze data and count pedestrians and cyclists."

He explained that "visitor counting cameras help in preparing plans to organize the major Ziyarat and provide various services to the Arbaeen visitors."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine seeks to provide the best services to visitors and to harness all resources, including equipment and personnel, with the aim of ensuring the success of the Ziyarat arba'een.
