The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has defined three main tasks for the camera system during the Arbaeen pilgrimage

The Communications and Information Security Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has identified three main tasks for the camera system during the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage.

The head of the department, Engineer Firas Abbas Hamza, said that "the cameras of the holy shrine are considered one of the important tools in managing the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage, due to their role in performing three main tasks: security, service, and organisation."

He explained that "the security aspects include monitoring the routes and streets surrounding the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to ensure the safety of visitors during their pilgrimage, while the service aspects involve monitoring the accumulation of waste and notifying the relevant authorities to remove it, as well as checking the water containers and informing the concerned parties to refill them when they are empty."

Hamza explained that "the organisational aspects include monitoring the gates of the holy shrine to identify congestion points and informing the relevant authorities to open new routes, in addition to monitoring the movement of the processions to organise them."
