Crowds of visitors commemorate the eve of Arbaeen at the Maqam of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance)

The Maqam of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in Karbala, witnessed the arrival of thousands of visitors to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

The department's staff worked to provide a suitable spiritual atmosphere for visitors from inside and outside Iraq, to commemorate the Ziyarat Arbaeen of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The holy shrine witnessed the organisation of mourning councils and discussions about the life of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), amidst an atmosphere of sorrow that enveloped the mourning visitors.

The holy city of Karbala welcomed millions of visitors over the past few days, who came on foot from within Iraq and abroad, to the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), to commemorate the rituals of Arbaeen.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine mobilised its efforts to meet the needs of the visitors by providing various services based on a plan prepared earlier, which included security, health, and service aspects, as well as food and drinking water provision, in addition to other logistical matters.
