Intellectual Affairs Department: We provided more than 110,000 meals during the Arbaeen pilgrimage days

The Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it provided more than 110,000 meals during the Ziyarat Arbaeen days.

The head of the department; Sayed Aqeel Al-Yasiri, said: "As part of its plan to serve the visitors of the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the department provided more than 110,000 meals to the visitors heading to the holy city of Karbala through six affiliated service processions."

He added that "the department's staff distributed 514,000 cups of water, 45,000 cups of juice, in addition to 38,000 ice cream cups, 45,000 cups of tea, as well as 400 kg of fruits; with the aim of ensuring the provision of various services to the visitors and meeting their needs during their journey."

This year, the department carefully selected the locations for the service processions both within and outside the city centre to ensure that services are provided to as many visitors as possible.
