The Southern Green Belt Department is carrying out new expansion works for its panels

The staff of the Southern Green Belt Department, affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, continue to carry out new expansion works for its panels.

The works included the expansion of the Oasis of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in preparation for receiving the incoming families.

The head of the department, Mr. Nasser Hussein Mateb, said that "the expansion works in the oasis included providing various means of comfort and entertainment, preparing the pathways, seating areas, equipping them with electrical power, and light displays," noting that "this campaign comes as a result of the influx of Iraqi families from within and outside Karbala to the Green Belt oases."

He added that "our teams invested the months of Muharram and Safar in completing the expansion in the oases of Lady Zaynab, Lady Ruqayyah, and Lady Sakina (peace be upon them)," confirming that "the implemented designs ensure family privacy."

Mateb pointed out that "our teams, in addition to their work in developing the oases, have also been harvesting dates from the palm trees within the belt and supplying them to the local markets."
