The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine conducts a tour in the halls of the Baghdad International Book Fair

The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine conducted a tour in the halls of the 26th edition of the Baghdad International Book Fair.

The exhibition is held at the Baghdad International Fairground with the participation of more than 20 countries, and its activities last for ten days.

The head of the delegation; Sayed Aqeel Al-Yasiri, said: "During its tour of the exhibition, the delegation visited the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine pavilion, the pavilions of other holy shrines and sacred sites, as well as several intellectual and cultural institutions, with the aim of enhancing cooperation with these entities."

He added that "the Holy Shrine delegation included representatives from its departments, such as the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department, the Scientific Complex of the Holy Quran, the Education and Teaching Department, the Islamic and Human Sciences Department, the Media Department, as well as the Al-Wafi Documentation and Studies Foundation, the Supreme Authority for Heritage Revival, and other departments that have publications displayed in the Holy Shrine's pavilion."

For his part, the head of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's pavilion at the exhibition; Sayed Mohammad Al-Araji, stated that the pavilion is witnessing a wide turnout from the visitors to the exhibition, pointing out that "more than 750 publications are displayed in the pavilion, including encyclopaedias, peer-reviewed journals, and religious books issued by the holy shrine, which distinguished itself from the previous year by adding 100 new publications, the most important of which is the Encyclopaedia of Friday Sermons."

For his part, delegation member Mr. Youssef Al-Taie pointed out that "this visit represents a clear message of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's openness to other institutions, to document its publications and affirm its cultural identity, which is based on spreading Islam."

The participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in the exhibition is an important milestone for showcasing its intellectual and cultural outputs and for connecting with readers and researchers from inside and outside Iraq.
