A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital managed to treat a girl who has been suffering from a vocal cord deformity since birth.
The consultant doctor, Nadhem Imran, said that "the deformity the child is suffering from has caused her hoarseness and difficulty in breathing," explaining that "after examining the case and conducting all the necessary tests, including an endoscopy, preparations were made for the operation using modern laser technology, which allows for high precision and effective results without the need for major surgical intervention."
He added that "the success of the operation reflects the technological advancement and development in the hospital," emphasising that "the presence of advanced medical devices, in addition to the distinguished anaesthesia team and the supporting team post-operation, were among the most important factors that encouraged the adoption of this innovative therapeutic approach."
Imran pointed out that "the results of the operation were excellent, and the patient has begun to show a clear improvement in breathing and voice, with high expectations for a return to normalcy in a short period."
