The grid manufacturing department begins maintenance work on one of the gates of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The Shrine's Holy Grids and Doors Manufacturing Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has commenced the maintenance work on the door of Imam Al-Hasan Al-Askari (peace be upon him) installed in the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The head of the woodworking division, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Amir, said: "The technical teams of the division have begun the restoration work on the door in several stages, which included dismantling its damaged parts and cleaning them carefully, then starting to detail high-quality Burmese teak wood to reinforce its structure."

He added that "the work plan includes adding glue and securing the wooden counterpart to the door frame, then starting in the next few days with the painting and polishing phase; with the aim of preserving the beauty of the door, its historical value, and ensuring its sustainability."

Abdul Amir explained that "the door is considered one of the main entrances that witness a large influx of visitors as they head toward the holy shrine," pointing out that "these works are part of the periodic plan prepared by the department to maintain all the doors and grids in the holy shrine."
