The Public Relations Department holds a mourning assembly to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him)

The Public Relations Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a mourning assembly to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him).

The council was held in the VIP hall within the holy courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in the presence of several staff members of the holy shrine and a group of visitors.

The lecturer and head of the Public Speaking Division of Hussayni Preaching at the holy shrine, Sheikh Abdul-Sahib Al-Taie, said: "These days witness the holding of mourning assemblies within the holy shrine to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him), due to the great significance this figure holds in the Islamic nation."

He added that "the council highlighted the biography of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) and his role in establishing the foundations of the religion, and being a source from which the nation draws lessons, morals, and admonitions."

He explained that "the council aims to enhance religious awareness and commemorate this painful memory in a manner befitting its significance in the hearts of the believers."
