Unveiling the first edition of the Najaf Ashraf Quran

The hall of the Alawi Complex in the holy city of Najaf witnessed the unveiling of the first edition of the Najaf Quran.

The Supreme Committee overseeing the transcription and printing of the Holy Quran, in collaboration with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, is holding a ceremony to unveil the Quran, in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Redha (peace be upon him).

The ceremony was attended by the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, as well as official, religious, Hawza, academic, and social figures.

Sayed Al-Safi, Sheikh Al-Najati, Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Fayyad, Sheikh Abdul Redha, Sayed Alaa Al-Hakeem, Sayed Hassan Al-Marashi, and Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi participated in the unveiling.

The head of the Supreme Committee overseeing the printing of the Quran, Mr. Muhammad Al-Bakaa, said: "Praise be to Allah, the curtain has been lifted on the first edition of the Najaf Ashraf Quran. This holy Quran is distinguished by being issued in the name of the city of Najaf Ashraf, the center of knowledge and the Quran, to solidify its position as a center for Quranic sciences. It has received the blessing of the supreme religious authority in Najaf Ashraf, which is considered a historical and living testimony, confirming that this holy Quran is identical to the one read by all Muslims, without addition, omission, or alteration."

He added, "On this occasion, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the completion of this noble Quran, especially the staff of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, including technicians, media personnel, and administrators, particularly the religious authority, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, who played a significant role in the completion of this noble Quran."

The printing of the Najaf Ashraf Quran was carried out at the Al-Kafeel Printing, Publishing, and Distribution House, affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.
