The head of the Representation and Units Management Division in the Hussaini Rituals and Processions Department, Mr. Haidar Ibrahim Al-Hamdani, said that the Relief and Support Unit in Babil Province, affiliated with the division, delivered the second batch of donations to the Gifts, Vows, and Endowments Reception Department at the holy shrine, adding that the donations varied between cash and gold jewelry.
He confirmed that the first and second phases witnessed a wide response to the call of the supreme religious authority through active participation in fundraising, noting that the fundraising centers affiliated with the holy shrine continue their work to aid the Iranian and Lebanese peoples.
For his part, Mr. Muslim Al-Fatlawi from the Relief and Support Unit in Babil said: "The donations from the people of Babil came in compliance with the directives of the supreme religious authority, as an expression of solidarity with peoples in their crises, and an effort to provide the necessary humanitarian support to them."
He added that "the Relief and Support Unit in Babil continues to deliver citizens' donations to the Department for receiving gifts, vows, and endowments as part of the campaign to support the Iranian and Lebanese people."
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched a campaign to collect donations in support of the Iranian and Lebanese peoples, in response to the call of the supreme religious authority, with the formation of specialized committees to manage and organize the campaign.
