To reduce temperatures... The Between the Two Holy Shrines Department begins operating mist sprayers to serve the visitors on the Day of Arafah

The Between the Two Holy Shrines Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has started operating mist sprayers in the central courtyard to reduce temperatures and serve the visitors on the Day of Arafah.

The head of the General Maintenance Division, Mr. Mohammed Jassim, said: "The cooling unit of the division supervises the operation of the mist system in the area between the two holy shrines to moderate the atmosphere and provide a comfortable environment for visitors, especially in light of the rising temperatures. He indicated that these works coincide with the Ziyarat of Arafah and the celebration of Eid al-Adha."

He added that "the system includes 21 spray lines, each containing 50 nozzles that work to distribute a fine mist of water evenly within the target area," explaining that "these lines are fed by 9 water pumps operating simultaneously, each with a capacity of 7.5 kilowatts, to ensure stable pressure and a consistent flow within the cooling network."

Jassem explained that "the pumps are supplied with filtered water through special filtration systems designed for this purpose; with the aim of maintaining the efficiency of the nozzles and preventing deposits or blockages that could affect the system's performance and continuity of operation."
