The procession of the people of holy Karbala commemorated the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadir at the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), in collaboration with the Department of Rituals, Processions, and Hussainiyah Bodies affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

The assistant head of the department, Mr. Qassem Al-Tarfi, said: "The people of holy Karbala, in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, have been accustomed to commemorating the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir at the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf Ashraf."

He added that the holy shrine worked on preparing logistical and service matters, including providing 45 buses to transport visitors to and from the site. He pointed out that the celebration included the recitation of poetry and religious hymns, spreading an atmosphere of joy inside the courtyard of Imam Ali's shrine (peace be upon him), as the people of Karbala are accustomed to commemorating this occasion dear to the hearts of the believers.
