For the purpose of its maintenance.. The grid manufacturing department begins dismantling the silver door of Imam Al-Redha (peace be upon him)

The staff of the Shrine Grid and Door Manufacturing Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have begun the work of dismantling the silver door of Imam Al-Redha (peace be upon him) that is installed in the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The technician in the carpentry division of the department, Mr. Karar Mohammed, said: "The department's staff have begun the process of dismantling the door of Imam Al-Redha (peace be upon him), made of silver and installed in the holy shrine opposite the Al-Alqami Gate, for the purpose of complete maintenance, to ensure the preservation of its artistic beauty and durability."

He added that "the maintenance work included cleaning the door and removing the impurities present in it due to its age, then reinforcing it with stainless steel inside the technical workshop of the department, so that in the next stages, Burmese teak would be fixed onto its general structure, glass would be added, and it would be installed in its designated location."

These works are part of the periodic plan prepared by the department to maintain and fully rehabilitate all the doors and grids within the holy shrine.
