In preparation for the month of Muharram... The shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was covered with 10,000 square meters of red carpet

The staff of the Holy Courtyard Care Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have completed laying the red carpet in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and its holy gates, in preparation for the month of Muharram and the Hussaini mourning processions.

The assistant head of the department, Mr. Zain Al-Abidin Al-Quraishi, said, "The department's staff, in collaboration with the relevant departments and with the participation of several volunteers, completed the carpeting of the holy courtyard and the holy doors with 10,000 square meters of red carpet, as part of the preparations for the Ashura mourning season and the reception of visitors."

He added that "the work included laying the holy courtyard and the doors leading to it, followed by thermal bonding to match and secure the carpet pieces together, ensuring they do not slip or move to appear as a single piece."

Al-Quraishi continued, "The work will continue sequentially to cover the area surrounding the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in cooperation with several departments of the holy shrine."
