The council was attended by the Senior Official of the holy shrine, His Eminence Sheikh Ahmad al-Safi, its Secretary-General, Sayed Mustafa Murtadha Aal Dia-Uddin, along with several members of its board of directors, its officials, its servants, and a group of visitors.
The gathering included a lecture delivered by Mr. Hashem Al-Battat, in which he reviewed key moments from the life of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), his pivotal role in the Battle of Karbala, and the values of loyalty, sacrifice, and selflessness he embodied in supporting Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and defending the principles of truth and justice.
The lecturer pointed to the esteemed status that Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) holds in the Islamic consciousness, due to his honorable stances that have become symbols of patience, steadfastness, and loyalty. He emphasized that recalling this noble biography represents an opportunity to draw lessons and human and faith-based values that the uprising of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) carried.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on holding mourning assemblies to revive the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and to spread their knowledge and virtues to follow their blessed path.
