The workers on the installation of the parts of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), have finished installing the upper crowns of its lateral columns..

After the completion of the installation of the lateral columns and their lower crowns, the workers on the installation of the parts of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), have finished installing the upper crowns of its lateral columns..
These 18 crowns have taken five months for their manufacture and each of them is located on the upper part of each grid's lateral column , with a greater thickness than the old grid, which is one of the most important characteristics of this blessed project, as the thickness has reached 2,5 mm, an increase of two and half the previous piece thickness.
This increase in thickness has accompanied the increase in the gold and silver ratio and mixing them in an artistic and modern scientific method, so the new grid enjoys of a longer life and higher resistance against blackening, to make it have lustre and vivid colour. As well as adding a golden rose of 22 carat, which is one of the new additions to this piece, giving an aesthetic to the column and to the whole grid as it surrounds it on each side.
The installation of these parts on the wooden structure has the advantage of being done in a very accurate hidden way, which is one of the new and important additions of the new grid, contrary to what has been in place previously in the old grid and its parts, making it look as single piece all together of the its top and bottom parts on the wooden structure.
It is to mention that the new grid of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was manufactured in the workshops of the crafts' factory belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with high quality, durability and accuracy. In fact it is the first grid which is entirely manufactured in Iraq with Iraqi handicrafts-men. It is also characterized by the originality of its engravings and decorations in addition to the fact that it keeps the same overall structure and engravings of the old one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the holy shrines in Iraq and in the Islamic world.
