On the eighth day of Muharram.. The Karbala processions commemorate the stances of Al-Qasem son of Al-Hasan (peace be upon them)

The Karbala mourning processions, in coordination with the Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions, and Bodies affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, commemorated the eighth day of the month of Muharram, recalling the stances of Al-Qasem son of Imam Al-Hasan (peace be upon them).

The roads leading to the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and the entrances to the old city up to the holy sanctuaries, witness the arrival of the Hussaini processions to commemorate this painful tragedy.

The processions set off from various parts of the holy city of Karbala, carrying flags of mourning and chanting slogans and elegies that embody his faith and humanitarian stances, his role in the uprising of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and his sacrifices on the day of Ashura.

The department has prepared a special plan to organize the movement of the processions during the commemoration of Ashura, which includes defining specific routes for each procession to ensure smooth movement and avoid overlap between the Hussaini processions and the visitors.
