Aal Dia-Uddin said: "We renew our deepest condolences on the anniversary of the renewal of sorrow for the tragedy of the Prophet and his family (peace be upon them all) in the painful event of Ashura. We first extend our condolences to the Awaited Imam (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) and make us among his supporters, helpers, and martyrs in his presence, and to the supreme religious authority in Najaf al-Ashraf represented by His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, and to the supreme religious authorities, esteemed scholars, all loyal believers, and servants of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas, peace be upon them."
He added, "We ask Allah, the Almighty, to accept this commendable effort from you and to place your efforts in the balance of your good deeds. May He keep you as a valuable asset for serving these sacred rituals and grant you the intercession of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on the Day of Resurrection. What you have provided in terms of services and distinguished organization is a source of pride added to your records filled with loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and a bridge that connects the hearts of the loyal across the world to their path (peace be upon them)."
The Secretary continued, "I also convey to you the gratitude and praise of His Eminence the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the representative of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi. I convey to you his prayers and supplications to God Almighty to accept this small offering from you in the best manner and to make you among those who will receive the intercession of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatimah az-Zahra (peace be upon her) on the Day of Resurrection."
He concluded by saying: "May God reward your efforts, and may He grant you great rewards and bless your endeavors. May your successes and service continue, which are a badge of honor inscribed by history in the records of your deeds. It is a great honor and a divine blessing to revive the cause of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), whose love is the reward for the message of their grandfather (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his family)."
As usual, the holy city of Karbala was honored with the guests and visitors of the Master of Martyrs; Imam al-Hussayn, and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) during the Ziyarat Ashura season. The services provided by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy Shrine to the visitors during this blessed Ziyarat included:
Preventive services:
The relevant departments at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine implemented a comprehensive package of preventive and service measures to ensure the comfort of the visitors. This included covering the area surrounding the holy shrine with saran cloth over an area of 38,000 square meters, installing 87 mist and chilled fans and an air cannon to cover an area of 39,890 square meters, in addition to laying 44,716 square meters of red carpet and nylon in the visitors' pathways.
The operational capacity of the central cooling systems within the holy courtyard, the holy shrine, and the expansion sites reached 7,102 tons, while the holy shrine provided 24,250 ice blocks in storage and freezing rooms, which were distributed to the Hussaini processions to support the services provided to the mourners.
On the security and public safety side, 2,000 surveillance cameras were installed inside and outside the holy courtyard to enhance security measures and ensure the smooth movement of visitors. Additionally, 21 fire alarm and extinguishing systems were prepared at the holy shrine sites, and 23 early warning systems were set up at the holy mausoleum, along with the distribution of 10,408 fire extinguishers at the holy shrine sites and their vehicles.
Medical services:
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine enhanced its medical services by deploying 13 medical detachments throughout the old city, in addition to 20 medical evacuation teams and 30 various ambulances (large and cargo), provided in collaboration with supporting entities to ensure rapid response and healthcare for the visitors.
The number of beneficiaries of the health services reached 34,152 visitors, while 425 volunteers participated in providing medical care. The holy shrine provided 12 tons of medicine to support the medical detachments and meet the needs of the visitors during the Ashura commemorations.
Media and transportation services:
The Media Department provided 485 identification cards to journalists and media personnel participating in covering the rituals of the Ziyarat and mourning during the first ten days of the month of Muharram. Meanwhile, 48 satellite channels benefited from the live broadcast service provided by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to transmit the rituals of the Ziyarat.
In terms of transportation, the holy shrine deployed 719 vehicles, including those specifically designated for transporting visitors and specialized vehicles, in addition to providing 350 carts for transporting the elderly and people with special needs, which contributed to facilitating the movement of visitors and providing services to them.
Perfuming services:
The Department of the Holy Sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) continued to implement the plan for perfuming the holy sanctuary throughout the days of Ziyarat, using 966 grams of incense and 165 liters of perfumes daily, in addition to operating 11 perfuming devices; contributing to providing a spiritual atmosphere filled with the fragrance of perfume inside the holy shrine.
The processions:
The first ten days of the month of Muharram witnessed the participation of 831 Hussaini processions, distributed as 673 service processions and 158 mourning processions. They spread across the three axs of the holy city of Karbala (Najaf, Babylon, and Baghdad), in addition to the center of the old city, contributing to the provision of various services and the revival of Hussaini rituals with smoothness and high organization.
Food and beverage services:
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine provided 803,250 meals for the visitors, contributing to meeting their nutritional needs throughout the days of the Ziyarat, in addition to distributing 6 million cups of water during the first ten days of the month of Muharram.
It also produced 100,000 boxes of drinking water during the Ziyarat, in addition to producing 55,000 bags of crystalline ice and 18,810 ice blocks, which were distributed to the Hussaini processions to support the services provided to the visitors and mourners.
The intellectual and cultural aspect:
The holy shrine has set up 18 stations to answer religious inquiries for visitors, in addition to distributing 40,000 printed materials specifically for prayers and Ziyarats.
The service aspect:
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine deployed 27 specialized vehicles for waste collection during the Ziyarat, managing to lift 3,076 tons of waste and using 18 tons of waste bags. This was part of its efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the shrine's surroundings and the paths of the visitors, and to provide a suitable service environment for the commemoration of Ashura.
