The mourning processions, in collaboration with the Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions, and Bodies affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, commemorated the seventh day of the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The roads leading to the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) witnessed the arrival of mourning processions carrying banners of mourning and reciting poems and elegies that embody the sorrow of the tragic event of Ashura.

The Rituals Department has prepared a special plan to organize the smooth movement of the processions and to designate specific routes for each procession, which contributes to avoiding congestion and preventing overlap with the visitors.
