The servants of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zayn al-Abideen (peace be upon him) through a unified mourning procession.
The procession was attended by Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, a member of the Board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and Mr. Jawad Al-Hasnawi, the director of the Senior Official of the holy shrine, along with several of its officials.
The procession started from the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), passing through the square between the two holy shrines, and reaching the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to mourn him on this sorrowful occasion.
The mourners chanted words that embodied feelings of sorrow and grief during their procession, demonstrating the impact of this tragedy on the hearts of the believers.
The procession concluded in the courtyard of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) with a mourning assembly, attended by the staff of the two holy shrines and a group of visitors, where elegies and lamentations were recited to commemorate this painful memory.
