On four axes... The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine begins installing cameras to count the visitors of Arbaeen

The Communications Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has begun installing cameras to count the visitors of the Ziyarat Arbaeen of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The head of the department, Engineer Firas Abbas Hamza, said: "The department's staff have started installing cameras to count the visitors of Arbaeen at four routes leading to the holy city of Karbala, which the visitors take."

He added that "the cameras were installed on the main roads leading to the holy city of Karbala, including the roads from Najaf, Babel, Baghdad, and Al-Husseiniya, to cover the largest possible area, and they will operate throughout the days of the Ziyarat, providing accurate data that helps in planning and delivering services better."

He added that "the installation of the cameras is carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities in the local government," noting that "the cameras are characterized by their modernity and advancement, enabling them to analyze data and count pedestrians and cyclists."

The head of the department explained that "the visitor counting cameras help in preparing plans to organize the million-visitor Ziyarat and provide various services to the Arbaeen visitors."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine seeks to provide the best services to the visitors and to harness all resources, including equipment and personnel, with the aim of ensuring the success of the million-visitor Ziyarat.
