Replacing the flag on the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with the end of the mourning season

The flag of the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was replaced from black to red, coinciding with the arrival of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal of the year 1448 AH.

The flag replacement ceremony was conducted by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Sayed. Mustafa Murtada Aal Dia-Uddin.

The flag was replaced in conjunction with the announcement from the office of the supreme religious authority, His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, that tomorrow, Saturday, is the first day of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal for the year 1448 AH.
