The opening ceremony which was attended by large presence of religious, cultural and academic figures from inside and outside the Babylon province, and delegations representing the two holy shrines, led by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, engineer Mohammad Al-Ashegar, has started by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and reading Al-Fatiha for the souls of Iraq's martyrs, who have sacrificed themselves for the defence of this country and its pure soil.
The attendees then went then to participate in raising the flag of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) to flutter in the sky of Hilla city, marking the beginning of the ninth edition of this festival, which is an annual tradition held by the supervising committee of this festival.
Then was the time for the word of the host of this festival - Hilla's people - delivered on their behalf by the head of the preparatory committee for the festival; Engineer Hassan Ali Al-Hilli, in which he said: "We celebrate this year like in the previous years the birth anniversary of the Generous of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), the apple of the eye of Lady Az-Zahra (peace be upon her); Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him). And this year we celebrate amid the joys of the great victories achieved by our brave armed forces supported by the volunteers of the popular mobilization on the terrorist ISIL's gangs and the haters..."
Followed by the word of the two General secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them); the sponsor of this festival, delivered by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Mr. Mohammad Al-Ashigar, which he started by presenting the congratulations to the believers in the East and the West and to all the attendees for the birth anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him), and praising the city of Hilla and in the centre of Babylon province as it is one of the most ancient civilizations, the city of science and literacy, of writers, intellectuals and scientists throughout the centuries up to this day...
Then the Bahraini poet Sayed Hassan Al-'aali delivered his vertical poem, in addition to the chants of the choir of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on this auspicious occasion and for the love of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The poet Abu Mohammad Al-Mayahi has inflamed the feeling of the attendees when delivering his popular poems about the victories of the security forces over the terrorist and horror ISIL's gangs, and other poems about the love of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and popular poems about Imam Ali and his son Al-Hasan (peace be upon both of them). To be concluded by enthusiastic chants performed by Radood 'Ammar Al-Kinani.
The attendees have headed after that to visiting the exhibition that has included pictures of the martyrs of the Fatwa of the sufficient duty of Jihad from the people of Hilla held by the charity foundation of the orphan, and other exhibition including paintings of a group of youth of the institution "Anamel Al-Hadarah" of the Hamza Youth Forum in Babylon province. In addition to the Book fair that has included a set of intellectual, cultural and religious publications, with a distinct participation of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
