The opening ceremony of the second cultural festival of Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him)

The opening ceremony of the second edition of the cultural festival of Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him) held by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine under the slogan "Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him) the truth and truthfulness speaker" in conjunction with the anniversary of the tragedy of the demolition of the tombs of Baqi' Imams (peace be upon them).

The opening ceremony was held in the Hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) in the presence of a number of religious, cultural and academic figures, in addition to a number of federal police and the families of federal police martyrs who were martyred in the battle to liberate Fallujah.

The ceremony started with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran by the Reader and Muezzin of the two holy shrines; Sayed Hassanein Al-Helo, then reading Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs' souls. Then the High Responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; sayed Ahmed Al-Safi has presented a brief search about the greatness of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) according to the interpretation of Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him).

Then came the word of the festival guests delivered by Dr. Sarhan Geafat, in which he stated: "In this blessed festival I would like to revive the life of Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him), together with the celebration of the martyrs' families, whose children have the credit of protecting Iraq from the ISIL's gangs coming from the conspiracy countries behind the borders."

Followed by a poem of the poet Maan Ghalib, then it was time for announcing the winners of the contest of the best author writing about Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him).

The ceremony was concluded by paying tribute to the families of the police federal martyrs who were martyred in the liberation battles in Fallujah.
