The Department of Engineering maintenance set up barriers for the basements of Imam Al-Hussayn and Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them).

The basements of Imam Al-Hussayn and of Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) are from the places that have contributed to relieve cases of overcrowding in the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), especially in the Ziyarat of Arba'een, as they have contributed in unzipping and reducing the congestions of the women performing the rituals of the Ziyarat, because they were allocated only for women. They are both located under the holy tomb, next to the holy grid from inside.

And in order to contribute in the smooth flow of the movement without any intersection of the women's movement and to reduce the stampede that may happen on the symbolic grid put inside the two basements, the Engineering Maintenance Department has manufactured under the direct guidance of the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, metal barriers that draw the visitors' movement path with ease.

The length of these barriers is of 500 meters with one meter height, they were installed conveniently to not hurt the visitors during their movement.

It is to mention that the two basements of Imam Al-Hussayn and of Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) are of the projects that are implemented for the first time in the holy shrines in Iraq. The basement of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is located at the western side of the holy shrine between the gate of Sahib Zaman and Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon both of them), with an area of 1000 m2, with almost 66m length and 14,2m width. As for the basement of Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon him), it is located in the northern side between the gates of Imam Musa Al-Kadhem and of Imam Ali Al-Hadi (peace be upon both of them) with an area of 1000 m2.
