The Basra Heritage Center participates in the Al-Mustafa Seventh International Book Fair.

The Basra Heritage Center of the Department of the Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has participated in the Al-Mustafa Seventh International Book Fair held by the General Secretariat of the holy Shiite Shrines in Iraq in cooperation with the Basra University, and which activities are held currently at the central library hall at Basra University.

The center has participated with a varied bouquet of its publications including books and magazines of the Basra Heritage in addition to a range of brochures and folders of the Center.

The Fair was characterized by broad attendance of professors and students of the University in addition to visitors from outside the university, who expressed their admiration of the publications and books of the Basra Heritage Center, which document the rich history and heritage of this province. The attendees have confirmed that these publications represent the modernity and the historic depth at the same time.

It is to note that the opening of al-Mustafa Seventh International Book Fair came to coincide with the martyrdom anniversary of the loyal companion; Zayd Ibn Sawjan (may Allah be pleased with him) and under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the holy Shiite Shrines in Iraq and in collaboration with Basra University, and with the participation of more than 54 publishing houses and Institutions from Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Kuweit, UAE and Bahrain. The displayed books were diversified in the fields of engineering, agriculture, literature and religion as well as a special pavilion for women and children.
