The support Committee for the reform programs of the Russian President has visited the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and viewed some of its projects

Within the series of visits and tours of the delegations and personalities, a delegation from the support Committee for the reform programs of the Russian President; Vladimir Putin, has visited the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine as part of its visit to the holy city of Karbala to establish some agreements with its local government departments including the brotherhood agreement between the holy city of Karbala and one of the Russian industrial cities.

The delegation, headed by the President of the support Committee for the reform programs of the Russian President Vladimir Putin; Andrei Ikurov, accompanied by a Chinese delegation represented by the Chairman of the China Investment Committee with Russia; Golden Nee, were received by the Director of the Office of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Haj Jawad al-Hasnawi, who welcomed the delegation and presented a brief explanation of some of the holy shrine's projects on various levels either the urban, investment of the intellectual and others. Then he accompanied the delegation in a tour in the holy sanctuary to see closely the expansion and roofing projects of the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in addition to the project of communication and control system.

Andrei Ikurov has stated to al-Kafeel Network: "The first objective of this visit is to establish good relations with Iraq, and the first step was to visit the holy shrines in Karbala, and then meeting with the local government departments in the city. As we have come from Russia in order to support the reform initiative of the Russia President Putin, and we have come to the holy city of Karbala or its location and its historic role in Iraq, and we have a proposal to establish a brotherhood agreement between the holy city of Karbala and one of the Russian industrial cities."
