The works at the project of workshops and warehouses of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine (First Group / al-Wafa` site) are continuous with advanced achievement rates. Several administrative and technical elements have gathered for the continuity of this project like the other projects of the holy shrine, despite the severe financial crisis that led to the postponement of a number of projects that some parts were supposed to be implemented and be delivered, and others with ongoing works like in this project that is implemented by the al-Liwa` International Company for Contracting and Industries under the direct and field supervision of the Department of Engineering Projects at the holy shrine, which has spared no effort to complete all its stages.
The Head of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Dea` Majeed al-Sa`egh has explained to al-Kafeel Network: "The project of al-Wafa` workshops and warehouses will represent a vital extension in both field warehouse and industrial sector at the near and long term. And it is one of similar projects in the same purpose, because of their importance as it will establish an industrial infrastructure that comes within the efforts of the holy shrine for the self-sufficiency."
And he added: "The completion rate of the project is of 70%, and the work is at the stage of the installation of space frame on which sandwich panels will be installed, which is one of the work that needs time and accuracy in the implementation. These works are also accompanied by other works such as the preparation of roads and works systems attached to the project and its infrastructures."
Al-Sa`egh continued: "The project is divided into two sections: The first is a two-story workshop with a floor area of 3000 meters with a width of 30 meters and a length of 100 meters implemented in a modern way in an open space. The second is a warehouse held on an area of 2500 m2 with a height of 10.15 m, width of 25 m and length of 100 m. It was taken into account in the implementation of all technical and engineering matters for the establishment of such warehouses in terms of foundations, linking the concrete columns, covering the warehouse from outside and other matters that fit its methods of use."
It is to note that the project comes within a series of projects adopted and implemented by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in both warehouse and industrial sides, which comes as part of its serious endeavor to promote the comprehensive strategic development in its various fields and aspects. Al-Wafa` industrial and warehouse complex is located in the region of Ibrahimia south of Karbala. The project of al-Wafa` workshops and warehouses will represent a vital extension in both field warehouse and industrial sector at the near and long term.
