The Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine receives the banner of the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) and calls for increased work and cooperation between the two parties to serve the pilgrims of the holy shrines.

Coinciding with the auspicious birth anniversary of the eighth of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them), the Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Mohamad al-Ashigar, has received the banner of the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) during his meeting with the delegation of the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) which has the honor of the Ziyarat of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The handover of the banner is a tradition that has been established by the servants of the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) every year in Iraq and its holy sites, in addition to some other countries to express the joy and happiness in this auspicious anniversary and wonderful occasion.

During this ceremony, the Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has stressed the importance of continuing the joint work between the holy shrines in order to provide the best services to the visitors, in addition to exchange of experiences, expressing at the same time his thanks to the delegation for this initiative.

It is noteworthy that these rituals are an annual tradition of the servants of the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him), which started eight years ago. As they roam with the banner of the holy dome of the shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) in the Iranian cities in the ten days of dignity; which are the ten days separating the birth anniversaries of Lady Fatima al-Ma'soomah (peace be upon her) and of his brother Imam Ali ar-Redha (peace be upon him) to deliver this banner for congratulations, and then in a number of Iraqi provinces especially the holy shrines for the honor of the Ziyarat and to communicate with the officials of the holy shrine, while carrying the banner of the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) to be in the holy sanctuaries among the visitors, then to visit the wounded fighters in the hospitals of Najaf and Karbala, and also to meet the religious authorities. These days also include various programs and celebrations in more than 30 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
