The office of His Eminence Sayed al-Sistani announces that tomorrow is the beginning of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.

The office of the Supreme Religious Authority His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani announces that Thursday August 24, 2017 is the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1438AH.

This came in a statement issued by the office of His Eminence Sayed al-Sistani, and seen by Al-Kafeel Network, stating that the moon sighting of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1438 AH was seen and approved by the office of his eminence.

Based on this announcement, the first day of Eid al-Adha will be on Saturday 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1438 AH, corresponding to the September 2nd, 2017.
