From Diyala to Karbala, the longest Hussayni condolence banner in the world.

Karbala has received on the morning of Tuesday 10th of Safar, 1439 AH corresponding to the October 21, 2017 the longest Hussayni condolence banner in the world, with a length of 4 km carried by the people of the Diyala province, entitled "Al-Hussayn unites us" with the participation of different sects of the province from Sunnis, Shiites, Arabs, Turkmen and from all the security, service and religious state departments and the city's elders and tribe leaders in the province.

The procession of this banner has started from Road of Qibla of the Master of martyrs; Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to enter his holy sanctuary, then the mourners paraded in the area between the two holy shrines chanting Labbayka Ya Hussayn towards the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), carrying posters of the martyrs of the province of the security forces and the popular mobilization.

The supervisor of the organization of this banner procession; Adnan Yaseen al-Tamimi said: "For the fifth year in a row, the people of the Diyala province carrying the banner of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); the longest banner in the world, with 4000 meters length, with the participation of all sects and origins to be the hope key to unite the ranks and to renounce the division and sectarianism, especially after the victories achieved by the security forces and the popular mobilization to be a beacon that gives them a union force."

Director of Diyala's shrines, Mr. Hussain Shaker, confirmed that "this banner carried by the people of the province is a message to the whole world that al-Hussayn unites us."

Adding: "Through this march, we send a message to the world about the brotherhood between the components of Iraqi society in general and the people of Diyala province in particular, and assure the world the world that this banner represents the combination of all components and sects of the Iraqi people; Sunni and Shiites, Arabs and Turkmen. Showing the unity of the people of Diyala province."
