The Service Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launch a wide cleaning campaign for the holy city of Karbala.

The staff of the Service Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine started on Saturday morning 21st of Safar 1439 AH corresponding to the November 11, 2017 a wide cleaning campaign for the holy city of Karbala after the end of the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The Official of the cleaning division in the Service Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and the supervisor of this campaign; Riyadh Khudayr Hassan explained to al-Kafeel Network the following:

"A wide cleaning campaign started in all the neighborhoods of Karbala, its secondary and main roads and the areas adjacent to the holy shrine, as well as the schools where the visitors were accommodated. The work was divided into groups consisting of 6 to 10 staff, in two shifts; morning and evening.

The reason of conducting this campaign is to clean and show the city in its best image, as Karbala receives thousands of visitors every day from different nationalities and backgrounds, and it is necessary to make exceptional effort to clean these areas."

The people of the regions expressed their thanks and gratitude to the al-Abbas's (op) holy shrine for its great services.

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has conducted a large cleaning campaign before the Ziyarat Arba'een to many areas of the holy city of Karbala.
