In Pictures: The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participates in an activity held by the people of the Indian city of Lucknow.

The city of Lucknow is considered one of the most important cities that have received attention from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine because of its religious specificity as it was the third religious city after the holy cities of Najaf and Qom. This city has the largest Hussayniyat in the world, namely Hussayniyat Imam Bara, as well as many schools, religious Hawzas, and a large number of scholars, and it is the city of scholars sent to all the cities and states of India. The attention given to it by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was translated by the organization of many activities and events, including hosting the Festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) for two consecutive editions, which has become the prominent festival of the holy shrines of Iraq in the Indian sub-continent, in addition to other events and activities, the most recent of which is the visit of the delegation of the Holy Shrine to attend the funeral council set up by the people of this city after they have sent an invitation to the holy shrine, which accepted it and participated with them in this occasion.

The representative of the holy shrine and the head of its delegation, Sayed. Adnan al-Musawi from the religious affairs department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, informed us about this event by saying:

"After the invitation sent to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to attend and participate in the condolence event in the city of Lucknow, which coincided with the anniversary of the death of Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her), where we went to participate and give a speech in one of the forum embraced by the sanctuary of "Shabih [similar] of the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)". We have conveyed the greetings of the Senior Official

of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi and all the employees. We also urged them to adhere more and more to these lofty Islamic principles and values and to emphasize the principle of fraternity between All sects and religions with a focus on the common values, and to be away from everything that shakes the entity of this city, which has historical roots, and to take the principles of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) as an approach and method because he is (peace be upon him) for all humanity."

Al-Moussawi added: "A banner was given from the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to Professor Seraj Mahdi, indicating that this banner carries great meanings of loyalty, faithfulness and sincere brotherhood."

He concluded by saying: "There was great and indescribable interaction with us. We also had a tour of some religious schools and Hawzas in the city, and meeting some of the personalities there who praised this visit wishing to be repeated in the coming days."
