The closing ceremony of the first annual exhibition "Our heritage is our identity" held by the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs.

The Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has concluded on Friday morning the 19th of Rajab 1439 AH corresponding to April 6, 2018, the annual exhibition of "Our heritage is our identity".

The closing ceremony was held in the hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), starting by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Mostafa al-Hemdan, followed by reading Surat al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, then listening to the national anthem of Iraq and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "Tune of Pride". Then Sheikh Salah al-Karbala'i gave the speech of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in which he stressed the importance of heritage as the spirit of the nation and a tool for making the present.

Followed by the word of the Researcher Dr. Mudhar al-Hilli in which he highlighted the fact that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has spared no effort in reviving this heritage through the establishment of local conferences and seminars...

Then the word of the Jury committee of the photo contest announcing the winners by Mr. Hadi al-Najjar, President of the Iraqi Society for Photography, as well as the word of the jury committee of the Arabic Calligraphy Competition announcing the winners by Sayed Adel al-Musawi, President of the Calligraphers Association in Karbala.

The first winner: Feras al-Nasrawi from the Iraqi Calligraphers Association in Karbala, participating with the thuluth line.

The second winner: Dr. Hazem Abbud al-Sa'idi from the Iraqi Calligraphers Association in Karbala by various lines.

The ceremony was concluded by the distribution of appreciation certificates and shields to the winners and participants in the exhibition.
