Member of the Committee of Exhibitions, Conferences and International Festivals in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine meets in Tehran a delegation of international activities association in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran.

In the framework of the development of international cultural activities in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and on the sidelines of its participation in the 31st Tehran International Book Fair, a member of the Committee of International Exhibitions, Conferences and Festivals in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Jassam Mohamed Al-Sa'idi met with the delegation of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, sent by Dr. Mahmood Wa'edhi Assistant Minister for International Exhibitions Affairs.

The delegation was headed by Dr. Hassan Nia, head of the Department of Publications and Research at the Department of International Exhibitions at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, along with the official of the 26th International Holy Quran Exhibition to be held in Tehran in the month of Ramadhan (1439H) and one of the officials in the Ministry. The delegation has presented an Invitation to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to participate in the said exhibition, because of its spiritual status in the hearts of believers, and also because of its publications of important scientific and moral impact.

The two sides also discussed obstacles to the participation of the holy shrine at the Tehran Book Fair at its 31st session, and ways to overcome them in future participations.

Mr. Sa'idi briefed the guests on a range of cultural issues at the Islamic level, a number of historical information about the Holy Places in Iraq and they listened to a review of the diverse cultural institutions in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The delegation was briefed on the publications of the holy shrine in the pavilion and expressed their keen interest in it because it touches the current concerns, especially with regard to the dissemination of mental knowledge against the illusions and suspicions of the atheist currents. They also looked at the magazines published by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and expressed admiration for their diversity.

Members of the delegation also wrote letters to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and visited the flag of his holy dome exhibited in the pavilion.

It is worth mentioning that the committee of exhibitions, conferences and international festivals in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is responsible for the establishment of all cultural activities of the holy shrine outside of Iraq and has participated in many weeks and cultural festivals in Turkey, India, Iran and Pakistan.
