The head of the Departments of Hussayni rituals and processions: More than 29 thousand Hussayni processions from inside and outside Iraq are registered, including 165 Arab and foreign processions from 22 countries.

The head of the Department of Hussayni rituals, processions and bodies in Iraq and the Islamic world of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them); Haj Riyadh Ni'mat al-Salman stated to Al-Kafeel Network that the number of the registered Hussayni processions and bodies in the database of the department has exceeded 29 thousand service and condolence processions from inside and outside Iraq.

Adding: "The department is assigned to organize the work of all the Hussayni processions participating in the various religious occasions including the Ziyarat of Arba'een, according to their classification; service, condolence or Tashabeeh processions. Last year, 10000 Hussayni processions have participated in the Ziyarat Arba'een including 165 Hussayni processions from 22 countries. The department has provided all these processions with identification badges and keeps an integrated electronic database."

Al-Salman said: "The department has made exceptional efforts to create 9 representative offices in most of the governorates, and 160 units of Hussayni rituals in the districts. The officials were chosen through direct election in accordance with the rules of procedure of the department. These representations contributed to reduce the financial burden and shorten the effort for the owners of the Hussayni processions in the administrative and organizational reviews. At the same time, our ambition is to find a reference to the rituals and processions in each governorate, which undertakes to organize the rituals administratively in coordination with the local governments after providing each representative with administrative and regulatory management authorization in each province.
