227 Arab and foreign processions from 23 countries participate along with the Iraqis in the condolence and serving the visitors of Arba'een.

The head of the Department of Rituals and Hussayni Processions in Iraq and in the Islamic world of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them); Haj Riyadh Ni'mah al-Salman, has announced: "The number of the Arab and foreign processions participating in the condolence and service side of the Ziyarat Arba'een, and participated along the Iraqis to commemorate this occasion is 227 Arab and foreign processions from 23 countries registered in the database of the Department within the administrative borders of the province of Karbala."

He added: "These processions are from many Arab and foreign countries, including: Sultanate Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, KSA, Yemen, Lebanon, Iran, USA, Indonesia, Belgium, Turkey, UK, Pakistan, Sweden, Thailand, India, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Canada, Netherlands, France, Kenya."

And he added: "There are Arab and Islamic countries that participate for the first time in these processions, either Latm or Zinjeel condolence processions, as well as service processions that serve the visitors heading to the Ziyarat of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) through providing food, beverages, medical treatments and other service matters, while others join the service and the condolence."

Adding: "The department has facilitated the work of these processions to perform their rituals with ease."

Haj al-Salman has also stated: "The Iraqi, Arab and foreign condolence processions, because of their large numbers, are still flocking to the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) within the plan set by the Department, which has harnessed all its potential by adding volunteers to its staff."
